I was born in Northern Ireland as Sagittarius rose over the Eastern Horizon and grew up in the border counties. Ever since I was a child I had a deep interest in astronomy, astrology, and the Occult. I had a small hobby telescope and several astronomy books from when I started school. It was not until I was my first Saturn Square at the age of seven when I calculated my own natal chart for the first time and bought my first pack of Tarot cards.

In 2008 (my first nodal return), I was awarded a scholarship to study chemistry and nanotechnology in Trinity College Dublin. After receiving many awards and achieving first class honors, I was accepted into a PhD program in the same university specializing in election microscopy, electrochemistry, and green energy storage. During my years as a PhD student, I presented at many prestigious conferences, been part of many high impact publications and earned several research grants. After submitting my thesis and graduating in 2016, I started working as a postdoctoral researcher in the field of medicinal nanotechnology and as of 2018 (My Saturn Return), I work as a Quality Engineer and statistician in the field of diagnostic medicine.

In late 2014, on a day and hour when, as it would happen, Sagittarius was rising again, I was initiated into a local initiatory order that promoted the practices of the original Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. This profound experience prompted a deep study into the Qabalah, the Tarot, Alchemy, Enochian Magic, and the ceremonial methods of the Golden Dawn. Furthermore, it started my deep study of Traditional Astrology, as much of the astrology presented in the teaching of the Golden Dawn was heavily influenced by the works of authors such as William Lilly.

In 2018, I studied the works of Hellenistic authors such as Vettius Valens, Claudius Ptolemy, Dorotheus and Firmicus Maternus with Chris Brennan. I believe the philosophies and idea presented by these authors fit well with my scientific mindset and my desire to understand the basic scientific concepts (of contemporary late Hellenistic period) behind most of the astrological doctrines we take for granted today.

My studies with Deborah Houlding and the School of traditional Astrology more recently have allowed me to focus heavily on the works of the Medieval Arabic and Renaissance Astrologers. This has broadened my mind greatly to many concepts and practices, most especially, my love for Horary Astrology.
